Every big idea starts with someone refusing to accept "that's just how it is."

For our co-founder Nchimunya, it started with a broken watering can on his grandfather's farm, fixed with rubber and wire, because throwing it away and buying a new one was never the instinct. That same instinct now drives Netagrow: instead of accepting that 1.6 million Zambian smallholder farmers should have to farm on guesswork, we're building the tools to replace uncertainty with data.

10,000+ farmers in. Yield gains of nearly 30%. Water savings of 25%. Built offline-first, because innovation that only works with perfect internet isn't innovation for the people who need it most.

We're honored that told this story—"Nchimunya Munyama: A Son of the Soil." The next chapter: 500,000 farmers across Southern and East Africa by 2030.

From Zambia to the global stage.

What started as a vision to help African farmers make smarter, data-driven decisions has now placed Netagrow among global innovators at GITEX Global and the IRENA Rising Star Award recognition.

At Netagrow, we are building AI-powered solutions transforming agriculture through smart farming, weather intelligence, and data-driven insights designed for African realities.

On 8 May 2026, Netagrow Technologies Chief Technology Officer, Oliver Dalitso Mbuzi, presented at the Engineering Institution of Zambia Public Discussion Forum, Kafue Branch, held at Kutwingi Lodge.

His presentation, “AI-Driven Environmental Civil Engineering Systems for Sustainable Cities and Agriculture,” demonstrated how artificial intelligence, IoT sensors, SCADA systems, and GSM advisory platforms can be applied to practical challenges in water treatment, environmental compliance monitoring, early warning systems, and precision agriculture.

The session highlighted Netagrow’s vision of using AI-driven technologies to help engineers, farmers, and institutions make better decisions through accurate, precise, and actionable data.

We are proud to see our CTO contributing to the conversation on how engineering and technology can help build more sustainable and resilient systems across Zambia and Africa.
