We’re Hiring: Part-Time Web & Graphic Designer

Position Type: Part-Time (±2-3 hours per day)

Remuneration: Monthly salary (not pay-per-project)

We’re looking for an all-rounder, skilled and creative Web & Graphic Designer to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated designer seeking consistent, flexible work within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be experienced in:
• Graphic Design: Logo design, business cards, and marketing/advertising materials.
• Website Design: Strong proficiency in WordPress (especially Divi) is essential.
• SEO Knowledge: Basic understanding of SEO principles will be advantageous.
• Social Media Design: Ability to create engaging and original designs for various post formats — carousels, single posts, reels, and short videos.
• PPC Social Media: Basic understanding of Paid Ads will be advantageous.
• Video Editing: Competent in basic editing and content creation for digital platforms.

Candidate Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Prioritises time management and strictly meeting deadlines consistently.
• Communicative and responsive — able to collaborate efficiently and provide timely updates.
• Organised and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to every project.
• Reliable, dependable, and professional in both attitude and output.
• South African-based, to ensure time zone alignment and smooth communication.
• Well-spoken, with good written and verbal communication skills.

It is highly recommended in these times of ever-growing cyber-crime, to get your website onto a website maintenance plan.

What is a maintenance plan?
This is a monthly service that updates the backend of your WordPress website, such as the WordPress version, theme version, plugins etc.

Why is it necessary to have a maintenance plan?
Not only does this serve to protect your site from hacking, but another pressing reason is that host companies are getting stricter and enforcing stricter rules when it comes to the security of their servers, therefore they need to ensure that the websites being hosted on their servers comply with these rules - cause a website that has old plugins, themes, or WordPress versions run a much higher risk of being hacked, which places the server in a compromising position. So they enforce major server upgrades with their PHP versions, and clients are left scrambling if their site is outdated and is no longer compatible with the servers' requirements, resulting in their website literally crashing.
