C: Drive: 0 bytes free. 😬
That was the situation on a client’s PC this morning.
Windows had completely run out of space, Outlook was carrying more than 80GB of mail data, and the machine had almost no room left to operate properly.
Instead of randomly deleting files and hoping for the best, we traced where the space was actually going.
We found several old Outlook .OST cache files from previous setups taking up around 40GB on their own.
We removed only the obsolete cache files, left the client’s active mailbox and important Outlook archives untouched, cleaned up the temporary files and checked the rest of the machine.
Result: 0 bytes free → approximately 39GB free.
No lost emails.
No deleted archives.
No unnecessary reinstall.
Just finding the actual problem and fixing it properly.
That’s the kind of support we provide at Haloweb — sometimes the solution isn’t complicated, you just need to know where to look.
