Where did you last actually learn something new for work?

Not the last course you were assigned. The last thing you genuinely picked up and used.

Here's a quick test for your training content.

Would your team binge the modules back-to-back, the way they binge a Netflix series? Or would they leave it playing in the background while they do “real” work, unable to skip or speed it up, and then run a Google search for the answers to the assessment at the end?

Consumer platforms have trained your people to expect pace, polish, and a desire to keep watching. Most corporate training was never built to compete with that instinct. It was built to be sat through, not watched.

Articulate 360 changes that. Built for studio-quality content, not slide decks with a play button.

Your people stop tuning out and start paying attention.

Your employees are learning.

They are just not doing it on your platform.

They’re watching YouTube tutorials about proven ways to structure a client proposal for the greatest chance of closing the sale, or asking ChatGPT for help managing a difficult team member.

None of that shows up in your LMS reporting, but it’s still learning.

People are naturally curious, and look for ways to improve their skills. The question for L&D and Exco is whether your platform gives them a reason to bring that curiosity inside it.

The best friendships are the honest ones.

They tell you what you need to hear, even when it’s uncomfortable and when you didn’t ask.

This month, we told you your library was too full. We dared you to delete 30% of it. We called it friction if it was no longer relevant.

That’s what we’re here for.

Here’s to the L&D teams who listened, and to the honest relationships that make better learning possible.

A bloated library is a strategy problem.

Every course that’s built makes sense at the time. But the business moves on, priorities shift, and in time, you end up with courses that haven’t been looked at in over a year.
That’s a strategy problem, and it’s worth understanding before you build anything new.

We wrote about it in our most recent blog article.

Indaba 2027: Could YOU be our next Keynote Speaker?

Last year, the Learning Indaba brought together a sold-out crowd and large online audience of HR leaders, L&D directors and instructional designers. On the 17th and 19th of March, 2027 we’re going even bigger and we’re looking for our next visionary Keynote Speakers!

Our goal is to to find the right people to help uplift Africa's L&D community by shifting workplace learning from simple compliance, toward initiatives that yield real business impact. As a speaker, your voice will be heard alongside international thought leaders and top tech innovators at the 2027 Learning Indaba.

Deleting 30% of your library is the easy part.

Building a learning ecosystem that stays lean, relevant, and adaptive is where most platforms fall short.

aNewSpring is a platform designed around curation, rather than accumulation. One that adapts to your learners and your business, so the content that stays earns its place every time someone logs in.

If the challenge showed you what needed to go, aNewSpring helps you build what should stay.

If you're taking part in our 30% challenge, how's it going?

If deleting content feels wrong, that's expected. L&D teams are hired to build. To develop, to add, to produce. Nobody has ever been praised for removing a course from a library.

Curation is a skill. And like any skill, the first attempt is the hardest. The more you do it, the easier it gets to know what earns its place and what doesn't.

How many courses have you deleted so far? Tell us in the comments.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." — Nelson Mandela, speech at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, 1990.

Mandela faced conditions that many South Africans are still battling today.

During his 18 years on Robben Island, he encouraged fellow prisoners to study and take correspondence courses. They gathered to learn in small groups in a limestone quarry, calling it The University of Robben Island. He even helped educate prison guards, because to Mandela, education was the enemy of prejudice.

Learning, for him, was never passive. It was the most deliberate act of resistance he had.

Join us in celebrating Mandela today.
