Most of you followed this page because you know me, not because you were shopping for a website. Fair enough. Here is something you can use anyway.

I built a tool that scores any website out of 100. It runs 71 checks on the six things a site has to get right: getting found on Google, loading fast, turning visitors into enquiries, building trust, being readable by AI and having email that actually arrives.

Free, about a minute. You put in the address, the score comes up on screen and the fix list comes by email. Every line shows the evidence behind it, so it is not an opinion.

I am not going to run this on anyone's site uninvited and hand someone a verdict they did not ask for. But if you run it and the score comes back low, message me and I will tell you which parts actually matter. A fair amount of it you can fix yourself in an afternoon.

The line I care most about is "very little guidance needed from me". Most business owners do not have time to explain their own business to a designer and then check the homework afterwards. Doing that part for you is the job.

Three things that quietly cost a local business enquiries. All three take five minutes to check yourself.

One. Your phone number is not tappable on a phone. If somebody has to write it down instead of pressing it, a chunk of them will not bother. Open your own site on your phone and press the number.

Two. Nobody can tell what you actually do in the first three seconds. Most home pages open with a welcome message instead of a plain sentence saying what the business does and where. Show yours to somebody who has never heard of you and ask them what you sell.

Three. Your contact form goes nowhere. Forms break silently when a host changes something and nobody finds out for months. Fill in your own form right now and see whether the email arrives.

None of that needs a designer. It needs somebody to look.

For ten years I have been the person who keeps South African businesses online. Domains, hosting, email, the unglamorous things everybody only notices when they break.

More recently I started building the websites too. A family law practice in Pretoria, a veterinary supplier, a 26-year medical courier and a solar monitoring company.

It is still just me. You get the person who designs it, writes it, builds it and answers the phone afterwards. No agencies, no account managers, no ticket numbers.

Most business owners have no idea whether their website is actually working.

So I built something that tells you. The Roadworthy Test scores any site out of 100 across 71 checks, in a real browser on a desktop and a phone, and gives you a certificate with the verdict.
