DJI Matrice 4TD – remote aerial patrols built around DJI Dock 3

For sites that require regular monitoring, having to send a pilot and aircraft to the same location every time can limit how frequently aerial patrols are carried out.

The DJI Matrice 4TD has been designed specifically around the DJI Dock 3 ecosystem, allowing organisations to conduct scheduled and remotely managed missions from a fixed or vehicle-mounted deployment point.

DJI specifies a maximum flight time of up to 54 minutes, an IP55 aircraft rating and a laser rangefinder capable of measuring suitable targets at distances of up to 1,800 metres under specified conditions.

Its camera system combines wide-angle, medium telephoto and telephoto cameras with thermal imaging, giving operators both visual and heat-related information during the same mission. The thermal system can produce imagery up to 1280 × 1024 when the UHR infrared function is enabled.

When paired with DJI Dock 3 and FlightHub 2, the system can support scheduled or on-demand aerial patrols, remote inspections and repeatable monitoring routes. DJI also supports integration with external alarm systems through the FlightHub 2 API for more advanced security workflows.

Typical applications include security patrols, mining and industrial monitoring, critical infrastructure, conservation, perimeter surveillance and remote inspection.

DJI Matrice 4T – visual and thermal capability in one compact enterprise aircraft

The Matrice 4T is designed for organisations that need more than a conventional aerial camera.

At approximately 1.2 kg, it is compact enough for mobile teams to carry and deploy quickly, while combining three visual cameras, radiometric thermal imaging, laser rangefinding and near-infrared illumination in one aircraft. DJI quotes a maximum flight time of up to 49 minutes under windless test conditions.

The thermal camera provides a native resolution of 640 × 512 and supports spot and area temperature measurement. With Super Resolution enabled, thermal imagery can be produced at up to 1280 × 1024.

Its telephoto camera provides 112× hybrid zoom, allowing operators to examine distant subjects or infrastructure without immediately needing to move the aircraft closer. The integrated laser rangefinder can measure suitable targets at distances of up to 1,800 metres under DJI's specified conditions.
