PRACA 2026 SET TO IGNITE BULAWAYO WITH A THREE-DAY CELEBRATION OF ARTS, ADVOCACY, AND COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION
Bulawayo, Zimbabwe – Home of Arts Entertainment is proud to announce the 7th Edition of the Pumula Royal Arts and Community Awards (PRACA 2026), set to take place from 17–19 December 2026 in Bulawayo under the theme: ”Creative Voices for Social Transformation and Sustainable Futures.”
Now in its seventh year, PRACA has evolved into a leading cultural and community engagement platform that celebrates artistic excellence while using the creative sector as a powerful tool for advocacy, dialogue, and social impact. The 2026 edition marks a significant milestone with the introduction of a dynamic three-day format designed to deepen community engagement and strengthen collaboration across sectors.
A THREE-DAY EXPERIENCE OF IMPACT AND INSPIRATION
PRACA 2026 will unfold through a carefully curated program:
- Day 1: Zimbabwe Key to the City Youth Arts Festival – A vibrant, youth-driven festival featuring performances, exhibitions, and interactive platforms aimed at raising awareness on key social issues.
- Day 2: Artist Summit & Networking Dinner – A high-level platform bringing together creatives, policymakers, development partners, and industry leaders for dialogue, learning, and collaboration.
- Day 3: Main Awards Ceremony – A prestigious celebration honoring excellence, innovation, and impact in the arts and community development sectors.
DRIVING SOCIAL CHANGE THROUGH THE ARTS
This year’s edition will spotlight critical thematic areas including mental health, drug and substance abuse, gender-based violence (GBV), climate change and green jobs, and creative exhibitions. Through storytelling, performances, and dialogue, PRACA 2026 aims to amplify voices, inspire action, and promote sustainable solutions led by young people and creatives.
EMPOWERING YOUTH AND STRENGTHENING THE CREATIVE ECONOMY
PRACA continues to serve as a catalyst for youth empowerment by providing platforms for talent development, community engagement, and policy dialogue. The initiative also promotes the creative economy as a viable pathway for employment, innovation, and sustainable livelihoods.
Expected outcomes of PRACA 2026 include increased awareness of key social issues, enhanced youth participation in advocacy, stronger partnerships within the creative sector, and greater visibility for local talent.
CALL FOR PARTNERSHIPS AND SUPPORT
Home of Arts Entertainment invites government institutions, development agencies, private sector players, media houses, and arts organizations to partner in delivering this impactful initiative. Support may include sponsorships, technical collaboration, and in-kind contributions.
A MOVEMENT BEYOND AN EVENT
“PRACA is more than just an awards ceremony—it is a movement driven by creativity, youth energy, and community resilience,” said the organizers. “Through PRACA 2026, we aim to inspire change, influence policy, and build a more inclusive and sustainable future.”
