Just finished this bw map for a client's semi-historical book, set in Occitanie around 1200 AD.

Not all towns are represented in the map since only those that are important for the book/story are shown.

It was not easy to find appropriate historical reference of the borders and locations of cities, that could also stand up to a more modern/precise map of the area. Some are a bit guessed and triangulated by nearby towns. Anyway, enjoy!

I'm excited to share my latest illustration: a detailed map of the enchanting world of Drintera®, created for Shewstone Publishing! ( https://shewstone.com/ )

I painted the map with careful attention to the writers' indications and their hex-based sketch map. My goal was to blend a sense of realism with the classic RPG aesthetic and conventions, making sure that each hex presents a unique biome and/or highlights a single significant location.

I even designed a custom frame to align with the Drintera® logo, enhancing its fit for the page layout.

It's nice to get old pieces still going: the "Spirit of the rainbow" group, featured my painting of Atlantis in one of their articles for their newsletter.

It's a piece I did many years ago, but I also printed it on canvas for my own house, I think it still holds his way.

In the industrialised world, people have come to rely almost exclusively on their intellect to discover and produce things – from new planets to smartphones – and it has resulted in some marvellous inventions and scientific breakthroughs.
