Watching something come from nothing never gets old.
Each layer tells part of the story — the messy beginnings, the changes, the moments it almost didn’t work… and then somehow, it does.

Now to think of a name for this artwork!

A cardboard box + some markers = more than 5 minutes of peace.

Sat them inside and let them draw all over it — the walls, the floor, every little corner. What started as “just a box” turned into their own little canvas.

They stayed in there way longer than I expected… completely focused, chatting, creating, adding more and more details as they went.

It’s messy, it’s simple, but it actually keeps them entertained — and sometimes that’s all you need ✨

Save this for a rainy day. ❤️

Over the Easter long weekend, I kept coming back to this image in my mind — a woman lying in the sun, her hat resting over her face, shielding her from the light. Sunflowers beside her, like little pockets of warmth.

It began as something simple, but the colours shifted as I went… settling into a mix of greens and sun-washed yellows. Not what I had planned, but it felt right.

I love when a painting gently takes over like that… when it knows where it wants to go before I do.
