Full of clear and practical tools to help refugee children, this is a project that actually makes a difference. Run by a perfect team - I'm so lucky to be involved.

The PARENTable project is in progress- even though we had to postpone all the workshops up to now due to travel restrictions etc.
Instead we are working on the modules and how to present it on our website.
The work is based on many many interviews we did with parents of refugee children from Italy, Sweden, Turkey and Germany last year.

Tony, who is implementing the modules on the website, was inspired to this illustration while working on the modules.
Some might find it disturbing. I think it expresses so well, what we as societies turn a blind eye on: What children and parents went through and still experience.
When they enter school, we expect them to deliver good results. If they don’t, we are ready to say that their parents don’t support them well or are not interested in education anyway.
Do we ever think about, what this child and his parents experienced and how they cope with the horror they went through?
