I clicked through a phishing email just to see how it operated. This is an attempt to phish Microsoft Office 365 credentials. The only obvious problem is the invalid URL circled in green. Be careful out there friends!

Everyone has the potential to be a victim.

The only 100% protection against ransomware viruses is an verified and monitored backup solution. We recommend using an internet based service which provides access to historical backups to allow recovery from an infection that may not be immediately detected.

A good back up solution also protects you from a corrupted or failed hard drive.

The City of Durham has fallen victim to a ransomware attack, according to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
