😭4 people were on Friday killed in a suspected attack by armed camel herders in the Itimba-Ithei area of Tseikuru, Kitui County, about 4Km from Kwa Kamari. According to authorities, the victims were watering their cattle at a stream when they were ambushed and fatally shot. Several cows were also killed during the attack.
Kitui County Commissioner Erastus Mbui said the attackers fled into the nearby Mwingi North Game Reserve immediately after the incident. Police have launched a manhunt as security agencies intensify operations in the area.
