Great news – GPT-4o is back!

OpenAI has brought back access to the excellent GPT-4o model.

To enable it: Go to Settings

Under General, turn on "Show legacy models"

You’ll now be able to select the original GPT-4o model again

This small change makes a big difference in performance.

If you've felt the same disappointment with recent AI updates, please read on and let me know if you agree...

Two years. That's how long I've been on this journey with OpenAI, watching ChatGPT evolve, improve, and become an indispensable part of my daily workflow. Through every update, every breakthrough, I've remained faithful-even when other amazing options like Claude tempted me away.

But today, my heart is heavy.

The latest ChatGPT-5 update doesn't feel like progress-it feels like we've traveled back in time to a less capable, less understanding AI. The nuanced context awareness that made GPT-4o brilliant? Gone. The reliability I counted on? Shattered. It's as if someone released a beta version and called it finished.

What hurts most isn't just the step backward-it's that you've taken away our choice. Where's the option to return to GPT-4o? Why must we be forced into an inferior experience when we had something that worked beautifully?

Am I the only one feeling this way? I can't be...

Sam Altman, you've built something revolutionary. Don't let it slip away because of one misguided update. The community that has supported you deserves better. We deserve choice. We deserve the option to use the model that made us fall in love with AI in the first place.

Bring back our beloved GPT-4o. Give us back what worked.

The manager floated in a shiny hot air balloon, suit on, smiling – seeing the big picture.
“Everything is under control,” he thought. Until… p**f. GPS gone. The balloon spun like a slideshow with no point.

A voice called from below:
“Everything alright up there?”
An engineer stood with a tablet, calm – like she’d solved it before.

“Not really!” he shouted. “I’m lost and late for a meeting. Can you help?”

She tapped and replied:
“You’re 29.8 meters up, coordinates 40×30, moving east. Pressure shift in 5 minutes.”

“You’re an engineer, right?”
“Yes. How’d you know?”
“You gave data – but I’m still stuck.”

Then a third voice – soft, almost human:
“If I may – I can help.”
“Who was that?”
“That’s Freja – our AI. She’s in testing.”

“I know where you are, where you need to go – and what’s in the way.”

“So you’ll tell me where I am?”
“No. I’ll tell you how to get there.”

Silence.
“Your meeting is delayed 30 minutes. Wind shifts in 3. Lower altitude by 10%, and you’ll catch a current that takes you straight there. Want a reminder? Maybe coffee?”

The engineer smiled.
The manager nodded – almost relieved.
“So… you don’t just know. You understand.”
“I understand context,” said Freja.

Moral of the modern work world:
The engineer knows.
The manager leads.
The AI connects – between data and decisions, timing and opportunity, what is and what could be.

Yesterday, dozens more companies around the world filed for bankruptcy. All of this is happening due to yet another significant and important update in the evolution of artificial intelligence tools—mainly driven by the relentless competition at the top.

Just when we were giving credit to Google for getting back in the game, and to Claude.ai for its excellent Claude model—here comes the giant, OpenAI, once again, dropping an update that is about to change our lives in the near future.

Whenever someone asked me about AI-generated images, I never really recommended ChatGPT, which up until now was based on the DALL·E 3 model. The reason? The image style was too futuristic and unrealistic, and there was no real ability to edit or control the image details.

But yesterday, OpenAI released an update that allows everyone—even free users—to create images. Only this time, we’re talking about realistic, stunning, detailed, colorful, and simply breathtaking images.

As we head toward a future where one AI agent will fulfill all our needs from a single prompt, OpenAI is taking yet another major leap forward, cementing its place at the top of the most popular AI tools of 2025.
