Holding a PhD in Art Studies, he has exhibited internationally in Europe, USA,Asia, & the Middle East. Dr. Rrezeart Galica is a Kosovar graphic designer, visual artist, curator, researcher, and university lecturer with more than two decades of experience in graphic design, multimedia, visual communication, and contemporary art. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the Faculty of Arts at
the University of Prishtina and earned his PhD from the Academy of Albanian Studies in Tirana. Since 2021, he has served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts, University of Prishtina. Throughout his career, Galica has developed an extensive international artistic profile through solo and collective exhibitions held in Kosovo, Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, Iran, China, Turkey, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Colombia, and other countries. His most recent solo exhibition, “Heritage I Am”, was presented at the Art Gallery of Sivas Cumhuriyet University in Türkiye in 2024, accompanied by an exhibition catalogue (ISBN 978-625-6497-83-2). His works have been selected for major international design and poster events, including the Gwangju Design Biennale (South Korea), Emirates International Poster Festival (Dubai), VIDAK International Invitation Exhibitions (South Korea), Calanca Biennale (Switzerland), Dubai Design Week, and numerous international poster exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Beyond his artistic practice, Galica is the Founder and Director of the International Poster Festival “Prishtina” (PIPF), one of the leading international poster events in Southeast Europe, organized annually in collaboration with universities, galleries, and cultural institutions in Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia. His academic and professional contributions extend to research, publishing, and international conferences. In 2025, he published the chapter “Visual Arts Today: Between Aesthetics, Technology, and Critical Spirit” in the book Research and Evaluations in the Field of Fine Arts (Ankara, Türkiye). He has also participated as a keynote speaker at international design conferences, including the VII International Design Conference during Dubai Design Week. Recognized internationally for his expertise in visual communication and poster design, Galica has served as a member of international juries, including the Ecuador Poster Bienal and the 1st International Poster Design Competition by CooterMag (Canada). In addition to his artistic and academic achievements, he has worked as a curator, cultural organizer, editor, and external quality assurance expert, contributing significantly to the development of visual arts, design education, and international cultural exchange. His professional interests focus on graphic design, poster art, multimedia, visual culture, digital technologies, and contemporary artistic practices.
