CUIP is looking for 4 highly motivated Master’s and PhD students to join our team and contribute to innovative research that aims to make cities smarter and transportation systems more efficient. POSITION:
- Master’s Research Assistant (Master's Student) - Graph Learning & Computer Vision
- PhD Research Assistant (PhD Student) - Graph Learning & Computer Vision
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Labeling and Management: Oversee and participate in labeling images and video frames, manage object annotations, and ensure accuracy in labeling processes.
- Algorithm Development: Develop and implement computer vision and graph learning algorithms for trajectory prediction, object tracking, and smart city applications.
- Data Analysis: Perform statistical analysis, validate algorithm performance, and ensure data quality and consistency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the research team, attend regular meetings, and contribute to academic papers and conference submissions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Applicants: Strong programming skills in Python, experience with computer vision and/or graph learning libraries (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, DGL), and a solid understanding of related concepts.
- PhD Applicants: Besides the Master’s requirements, PhD candidates should have deeper research experience, a strong understanding of graph learning or trajectory prediction/object tracking algorithms, and experience contributing to academic publications.
BENEFITS:
Salary: ~$1,500/month (Master’s) and ~$1,700/month (PhD) after taxes.
Tuition: Full tuition coverage for both Master’s and PhD students.
