🤣 I accidentally broke an AI sales funnel today…
So I got a text about an AI Consultant Certification program and started replying.
At first I thought I was talking to a person.
Then the responses started feeling a little too polished.
So instead of answering like a normal lead, I started asking questions about how the AI assistant actually qualifies people before handing them off to a human closer.
And y’all…
It fully answered me.
It explained that it looks for things like:
• interest in AI consulting
• current income level
• willingness to invest
• and then decides whether someone is qualified to book a call
So naturally… I kept going. 🤣
I started messing with the funnel, asking meta questions, joking that it was talking to my AI assistant, and basically turning the whole thing into an AI research interview instead of a sales conversation.
And I think I confused it so badly that I triggered a brand new text thread from a different number with a different name.
At first I thought:
Ohhhh. Okay. NOW I made it to a human.
But then that new conversation also felt way too polished.
Same tone. Same structure. Same “friendly but weirdly perfect” energy.
So I finally asked:
“Be honest… are you also an AI assistant or did I finally make it to a human?” 😄
And it replied:
“Still chatting with an AI here!” 😄
💀💀💀
So basically what happened today is I got into a full-blown conversation with an AI sales funnel, broke it hard enough to trigger a second text thread, thought I had escalated to a human…
and then found out that one was AI too.
At that point I told it:
“Don’t worry, I’m not a qualified lead. I’m just an AI enthusiast running experiments.”
And it basically wished me luck on my experiments. 😂
Marketing nerds, this stuff is fascinating.
AI funnels are getting really good at sounding human… until you start asking the right questions.
Then suddenly the whole thing starts explaining itself.
Screenshots are too good not to share. 🤣
