"Okay I have to ask — how many of you are sending your marketing emails straight from Gmail? 🙋‍♀️

Because I see it all the time and honestly, I get it. Gmail is right there, it's free, and it feels like it's working just fine.

Here's the thing though — sending bulk emails from your regular Gmail account can actually hurt your domain reputation. And when that happens, it's not just your newsletters that land in spam. It's ALL your emails. Including the ones you actually need people to see.

I just wrote a whole blog post about this because I want you to have the information before it becomes a problem for you. No scary stuff, just the honest breakdown of what the CAN-SPAM Act requires, where the real risk is, and what to use instead.
