All I knew since I was a little girl is to run my own business where I get to glorify God and honor Him with everything He would give me.
I remember back in 2019, starting to develop a website for friends for free. I was so afraid to be bold and say out loud what my dream was. I thought it was impossible for this Ethiopian girl to dream that big, in a foreign country, with a foreign language.
But God already knew. He had been preparing me for a day like this.
My hope and prayer is that no matter how small or big the task He gives me, I do it all for His glory, with integrity and love.

As a business owner, it’s hard to remember: a job was made for me, not me for the job.
Just like Jesus said in Mark 2:27, “The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.”
It’s so easy to get lost in the to-do list and miss the gift of rest and worship.
Last week I had to make a decision I didn’t know I had permission to make. My husband and I co-lead BCT-Dells, a ministry we run with dear friends, and we were preparing to host a mission team coming to share the good news with the EVs in our town. For the first two days, I tried to hold both my business and the mission work at once, and I hit a wall.
After a real conversation with my husband, I realized something: as a business owner, I get to decide how my time works. So I turned on my “Out of Office” reply for my wonderful clients and gave myself permission to be fully present for this opportunity to make Jesus known.
Reading my devotional again this morning, I was reminded once more; I wasn’t created for my work. My work was created for me.
