I installed all of the new OS 26 systems on my various devices: iOS 26 for iPhone; iPadOS 26 for iPad; watchOS 26 for Apple Watch and macOS 26 Tahoe on my MacBook Pro.
And ALL are doing just fine…
Your iPhone may feel a bit warmer for a day and use a bit more battery as it upgrades all the features, but is back to normal now.

A few comments:
The new “liquid glass” look may cause some apps and menus to be harder to read; but you can go to Accessibility settings and turn on Reduce Transparence, which might help. The colors are a bit brighter.
Some of the menu icons are in different locations, but not hard to figure them out.
Photos app has been separated into “Library” and “Collections” to make it easier to navigate.
The Phone app on iPhone has new Unified View, which combines Recents and Favorites into one screen, but you can switch back to Classic view if you’d like.

For Macs: I still stress that you should first verify that all your 3rd party Applications will still be compatible, especially if you aren’t already on the latest macOS 15 - and backup first… just in case.

I haven’t had time to read through and test ALL the new features - but plan to.
Use your HELP menu on Mac; and the TIPS app on iPhone & iPad to learn more once you’ve installed.

OS 26 system is available from Apple - for ALL devices, macOS 26 Tahoe, iOS 26 for iPhone, iPadOS 26 for iPad and watchOS 26 for Apple Watch - lots of changes and new features. Before upgrading, be sure to read more about the changes and for computers be sure you have a backup and that all your Applications will be compatible. I've been running it on my devices for a few days and it's been working fine, though! Still much new to learn...
