Some of my favorite photos happen in the seconds between the plans.

They're the quiet glances across the room. The laughter between portraits. The way your partner reaches for your hand without thinking. Those little in-between moments are where your story lives, and they're often the images couples tell me they come back to again and again.

Erin & Kayla's beautiful wedding at Bakery 105 in downtown Wilmington was filled with those moments—the kind you can't script, only feel. Those are the memories I chase on every wedding day.

It rained almost all day at Emily & David's wedding at The Reserve Club at St. James, but sometimes the unexpected becomes part of the story.

We had to think quickly and adjust our plans, and somehow those rainy moments turned into some of my favorites. Emily getting ready with her girls, umbrellas in hand, laughing through it all... proof that a wedding day doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful.

As a North Carolina wedding photographer, I've learned that the best images often happen when we simply embrace the moment. ☔️🤍

I cannot handle this level of cuteness! The three little flower girls almost stole the show during this wedding ceremony! The bride had a hard time holding it together watching them!

Often, I get the incredible opportunity to photograph surprise proposals, and I absolutely love them. They're honestly one of my favorite things to capture as a wedding photographer. The anticipation, the secret planning, and all the sneaking around make the whole experience so much fun.

Travis reached out to me several months before the big day so we could plan every detail to perfection. He even had a special bracelet made with a heartfelt message for his soon-to-be bride. I carried that bracelet around in my camera bag for two weeks, waiting for the perfect moment to secretly place it where he planned to propose.

The bracelet gave him just enough of a distraction to pull out the ring and get down on one knee. The rest is history... and of course, she said yes!

Happy Pride Month 🌈

Getting to document Kayla & Erin’s wedding day at Bakery 105 here in downtown Wilmington was such an honor. Their day was full of joy, tenderness, laughter, deep connection—and the kind of love that feels effortless simply because it’s real.

Love is love. Always.

I believe every couple deserves to feel fully seen, celebrated, respected, and safe exactly as they are.

When you’re in front of my camera, my hope is that you feel comfortable enough to exhale… to be yourselves… to hold each other the way you naturally do… and to know your story is being documented with care and without hesitation.

Creating that space matters deeply to me.

No matter who you love, your story deserves to be told beautifully. Your connection deserves to be honored. And your wedding photographs should feel like home when you look back on them years from now.

Here's a little photo story for you. These are the moments I live for during the wedding day. The emotional moments. The moments you've spend your whole life dreaming of. The moments you know you'll remember forever. The first look with the father of the bride and the bride is one of those moments. It’s not just the big reaction that gets me. It’s the breath he takes when he turns around. The pause before he says anything at all.
Sometimes it’s tears. Sometimes laughter. Sometimes he just looks at her quietly like he’s seeing every version of his little girl all at once.

These are the moments I’m always looking for on a wedding day—the ones unfolding in between the expected ones. The tiny, fleeting pieces of emotion that can never be recreated, but somehow become the moments you hold onto forever.
