Caleb Holle | Mulvane Senior 2027

I've known Caleb since he was just a little ole 7th grader on the first middle school track team I coached. Since then, I've had the chance to photograph him quite a few times over the years, especially on the football field and wrestling mat.

Now he's a senior, and I had the privledge to get him in front of the camera for something other than sports!

A big thank you to the Holle family for trusting me with Caleb's senior pictures! I really appreciate the opportunity to capture this milestone for your family. Wishing Caleb a great senior year and all the best in whatever comes next!

There’s something about this picture that feels bigger than football.

The pocket is starting to collapse.

A defender is fighting through. His teammate is doing everything he can to give him another second.

And the quarterback is still looking downfield.

Still trusting.
Still waiting.
Still willing to let it go.

That’s faith, in a way.

Not the easy kind.

The kind that exists when there’s pressure in your face and you don’t know how the play is going to end.

The kind that says somebody beside you is fighting to hold the line, so you’d better be ready to do something with the time they’re giving you.

Life feels like that sometimes.

You rarely get a wide-open field.

You get pressure.
You get noise.
You get people coming at you from directions you didn’t expect.
You get a few seconds to decide whether fear is going to make the decision for you.

And somewhere beyond all of it is where you’re trying to go.

You might not see the ending yet.

You still have to throw.

Not every pass gets caught.
Not every season ends the way you wanted.
Not every prayer is answered the way you expected.
And sometimes you do everything right and still take the hit.

Faith was never a promise that there wouldn’t be pressure.

It was trusting God enough to keep moving through it.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

So plant your feet.

Trust the people holding the line beside you.

Keep your eyes downfield.

And when the moment comes -

LET IT FLY.

One minute you’re taking their first-day-of-school picture, and somehow now you’re scheduling senior photos.

These pictures are more than something you need for graduation announcements.

They’re a chance to freeze this version of your kid before life starts changing really fast.

The uniform they’ve worn for years.
The truck they’ve spent every paycheck on.
The boots that are always by the door.
The downtown spot they grew up around.
The smile you’ve seen a million times.

You can be doing everything right and still hear footsteps behind you.

That’s the part nobody talks about.

The people chasing you are working too. They’re sacrificing too. They’re tired too. And sometimes they’re willing to throw everything they have at one last chance to catch you.

So being ahead isn’t enough.

You have to keep earning the space between you.

Not because the person behind you is your enemy, but because their effort demands your best.

Their pursuit should sharpen you. Their hunger should remind you not to get comfortable. Their fight should pull another gear out of you that you didn’t know you had.

Give everything you have. Then find a little more.

Because when everybody behind you is giving their all…

being good enough won’t keep you ahead.
Be better. Keep moving. Finish the run.
