Y’all see somebody making school spirit wear and think, “Oh, I can make that too!” 👀
And you absolutely can. 😂
But here’s the part I wish more people would think about:
WHO ARE YOU SUPPORTING?
Because when you buy spirit wear directly through a school, booster club, athletic program, band program, PTO, or approved school fundraiser, that purchase can help put money RIGHT BACK into the kids and the programs.
Equipment.
Uniforms.
Travel.
Scholarships.
Events.
Supplies.
All the things people don’t necessarily see when they’re just looking at a $25 shirt.
As a print shop owner, I’ve spent plenty of years doing spirit wear.
And I’ve changed my position.
I would rather send someone to the booster club to buy their shirt than take that sale myself.
Yep. I said it.
Because I don't want to compete with the people who are actively raising money for our schools.
I want to work WITH them.
Going forward, my shop will only be doing school spirit wear through schools, staff, booster clubs, teams, organizations, and approved programs.
If you want to make a shirt for yourself? Cool.
But if you're looking for school spirit wear, go support the people who are putting that money back into the school.
And if you're a school, staff member, coach, booster club, PTO, or program looking for a print shop?
THAT'S where I want to be.
Because when the school wins, the kids win.
And honestly?
That's a whole lot more important to me than selling another T-shirt. ❤️
