Paul Thurrott tells us about TABS in the new Edge browser:

“You can toggle between traditional and vertical tabs by clicking the new “Turn on vertical tabs” control at the far left of the tab row in Edge. By default, vertical tabs appear as icons, but you can pin the pane to the left side of the browser window to see each tab’s page title.”

Also, Edge now starts up 41% faster when your PC reboots. To read more.......

Among the new features coming to Microsoft Edge on desktop this month is vertical tabs, which seems ideal for the 16:9 displays that most of us are still stuck with.

Do you have questions about the newest Windows upgrade to version 2004? If so, this article by "Woody on WIndows" can answer some of your questions. At the moment, some computers aren't ready to install version 2004, other computers are getting the update. My newest computers (bought within the last year) "aren't ready", yet my oldest one, (8 years old) was totally ready and got the update! Who can figure?? If your computer isn't ready, sit tight......MS will eventually work on the drivers or bugs that are keeping many from "being ready".

Some of you are getting the update without your approval. Woody is telling you what that is all about.

I’m seeing an increase in the number of people who claim that their Windows 10 version 1903 or 1909 computers were upgraded to version 2004, without warning. The behavior might be due to a bug in the way Win10 handles “Pause updates.”

To check what version you have, in the search box (next to the start button) type "winver" (no quotation marks). Hit enter and a small box will open....you will see the version you currently have. If you are still using Windows 7, be sure to update with the newest patch or else you will lose support by July. And also, you will lose all support by January 2020 anyway, as support for Windows 7 comes to an end. Windows 7 is still a great operating system but it is 10 yrs. old so according to MS, it's reached the end of its useful life. If you decide to update to Windows 10, it will set you back $139.

If you miss a critical update this month, your PC may soon become vulnerable to malware and viruses
