Open Broadband's fixed-wireless internet service will officially end on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. All customers have been notified.

Before anything else, we want to say thank you. Many of you have been with us for years, often in areas where reliable internet options were hard to come by. Being able to serve you has meant a great deal to our team, and we don't take that lightly as we make this transition.

A special offer for our valued Open Broadband customers

Connect Path, a Carolinas-based connectivity provider, is offering current Open Broadband customers two options to help make your transition as seamless as possible:

5G Router Service with the installation fee waived (usually 100-200 Mbps speed)

or

Starlink installation

If either option sounds like a good fit for your home or business, please contact [email protected], and their team will be happy to help you get connected after Open Broadband service ends.

If neither option is the right fit, we encourage you to make arrangements with another internet service provider as soon as possible to avoid any interruption in service.

Please remember that all Open Broadband fixed-wireless services will no longer be supported after 7/15/26

We have an internet outage in the Cashiers NC area. A third party is involved and not open on Sunday. We will reach out Monday mornning and hopefully have services restored by end-of-day.

We have a power outage in the Ellendale area that is effecting service. Estimated repair by Duke is 3:15.

We had to do an emergency upgrade to a server that effected people in our non line of site service. We will be replacing the server as soon as the new hardware comes in. It should settle down going forward. Thank you for your patience!

Some customers are experiencing service issues in the Sutton TV Tower area. Our team is actively on-site working to resolve the problem. To better serve our Customers, there will be a scheduled outage on Monday, 3/2 for maintenance. This will b for the Goldsboro market with includes Grantham/Mount Olive, Goldsboro, Seven Springs and La Grange adresses. The time is from 8am-10am. This switch is to try to prevent further outages from our level one provider. The Goal is to only be down for a few minutes but a 2 hour window has been established for any unforeseen issues.
