❄️ Salesforce Winter '27 is landing in orgs now, and the final rollout wave hits October 9.

Skip the giant release notes. I pulled out 5 small upgrades your team will actually notice:

👀 Preview records without leaving your reports (Beta)
📌 A Follow button right at the top of the record page
📎 Original case attachments shown right under the description
⚡ One screen flow that updates a whole batch of records
🕵️ Field history tracking on User records, now generally available

Heads up: most of these stay off until an admin turns them on. The post covers how to get each one and who needs to flip the switch.

Okay, this one was REALLY interesting to research. 👀

I’ve been playing with Lovable for less than two weeks, and I’ve already built a pretty substantial business app with CRM features, dashboards, contacts, pipeline tracking, communications, automation, calendar information, and more.

I could probably have gotten even further if I weren’t constantly rationing credits between all the different AI tools I keep experimenting with. 😂

Then I found Hercules.

One of the examples right on its website is basically:

“Build a CRM for my sales team.”

And suddenly I had a much bigger question.

What happens to the Salesforce industry when a small business can simply describe the software it needs and AI starts building it?

I went down the rabbit hole.

My conclusion isn’t that Salesforce is going away. It’s that the valuable part of CRM work is changing.

Knowing how to create a field or build a simple automation isn’t going to be nearly as valuable when AI can do more of that work.

Understanding the business, designing the right process, choosing the right platform, protecting the data, connecting systems, finding problems, and knowing what should actually be built?

That becomes even more important.

I wrote the whole thing up here:

Hercules, Lovable, and Salesforce's own AI builders are making software construction easier. The bigger change is what clients may need experts to do

If everyone can tell the CRM admin what to change, who actually owns the CRM?

A VP wants a new Opportunity Stage. Marketing wants Lead Source reorganized. A consultant recommends changing required fields. And somehow the Salesforce admin is expected to decide which request wins, determine the business impact, build it, test it, and explain the decision six months later.

That isn’t CRM ownership. That’s a governance problem.

I put together a practical field guide for building a better process:

Request → Triage → Decision → Build → Test → Approve → Release → Document

Including request intake, risk tiers, sandbox strategy, UAT, release cadence, documentation, and when tools like Jira or ServiceNow actually make sense.

Salesforce is a whole ecosystem, not just a CRM. And I made you a map.

Marketing, sales, data, revenue, delivery, customer success, and the foundation underneath it all... every corner of the platform, laid out in one free resource.

Whether you're new to Salesforce or you've been in the weeds for years, this is the "how does it all connect" resource I wish existed a decade ago.

Go get lost in it (in a good way): https://courses.alohacrmexperts.com/s/salesforce/m/the-salesforce-business-ecosystem-2026/a/introduction-to-salesforce-business-ecosystem

When everyone owns the CRM, no one does.

CRM problems don’t usually start with bad technology. They start when there’s no clear process between “I want this changed” and “this change goes live.”

I put together a practical guide to CRM governance covering change requests, ownership, risk levels, sandbox testing, UAT, release cadence, documentation, and when a dedicated ticketing tool actually makes sense.

The goal isn’t more red tape. It’s a CRM that can evolve without becoming chaotic.

New on Aloha CRM Academy: Intro to Salesforce: Platform, Editions & Pricing

Salesforce is powerful, but that doesn't automatically make it the right CRM for every business.

This lesson breaks down what Salesforce actually is, the current Sales Cloud editions and pricing, what businesses are paying for as they move up the tiers, and how those costs compare with Zoho One.

It also looks at where Salesforce genuinely excels and where the platform may be more than a smaller business needs.

The goal is simple: understand the platform, understand the cost, and choose based on the needs of the business.

Spent an evening deep in Zoho Bookings settings so my clients never get offered a midnight appointment slot. Turns out there's a real sync bug between Zoho Bookings and Google Calendar that a lot of people have run into, and the fix isn't what you'd expect.

Wrote up exactly what broke, how I found it, and the actual steps that fixed it, screenshots included.
