ALPEN was founded in 2015 on the premise that bicycles needn't occupy valuable indoor space, in the home or garage, in order to be kept dry and safe from damage and theft. The founder had constantly struggled with awkward, messy storage locations for his bikes and had six bikes stolen over a twenty year period. Bicycle prices have skyrocketed over the past 15 years as they have become higher-tech,
while at the same time soaring real estate prices are driving people to live in smaller spaces, putting a premium on each and every square foot of interior space. With the ALPEN Bike Capsule, no longer do we have to suffer with greasy bikes hanging on our living room walls, leaning against the kitchen counter, tucked in the corner of the bedroom, or stuffed in the garage behind the car.
