Here's the thing - life's messy, unpredictable, and full of change, just like this pile of leaves. Autumn's confetti, once a riot of fiery hues, now a dull, decaying mass.
Turns out, these decomposing leaves are the unsung heroes of the backyard. They break down, slowly, surely, becoming one with the soil, feeding it, making it richer. They're the hardworking stiffs of nature's kitchen, turning themselves into a feast for the new life of spring.
This is 'farm-to-table', the unglamorous yet crucial cycle of life, right here in our own backyards. As we head into spring, let's give a nod to these fallen leaves, and the new life they're about to support. Bon Appétit, Mother Nature.
