This laptop came in with charging issues. After diagnosing the problem, I found the charging port cable had failed and needed to be replaced. I also replaced the faulty charger to get the laptop powering up reliably again.

Since the laptop was already apart, I went a step further and did some preventative maintenance:
-Replaced the damaged charging port cable
-Installed a new charger
-Deep cleaned the cooling system
-Removed built-up dust from the fans and heatsink
-Applied fresh thermal paste to the CPU and GPU
-Fully reassembled and tested the laptop

Preventative maintenance like this can help reduce temperatures, improve performance, and extend the life of your device.

My name is Johnny, and I’m excited to start up my own business doing local electronics repairs! I am based in Urbana, Ohio.

I’ve always had an interest in learning how to take apart, diagnose and repair electronics. I enjoy working on my own electronics as a hobby, anything from troubleshooting problems, fixing stick drift, building my own pc or bringing old devices back to life.

Understanding that repair services can be a hassle in finding and making time to go into a store and wait to get your device back. For that reason:
