Description: Capitol Cable Communications, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced professional to join our project management team. We are looking for an initiative-taking and goal oriented Telecommunications Project Estimator receive, create, supply and deliver estimates of engineering, construction, supplies and installation to Capitol Cable Communications, Inc. project team and customers in the Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland region, and other locations throughout the continental US.
Capitol Cable Communications, Inc. designs and installs structured cabling and audio visual systems for DOD, local and Federal Government, and Commercial business customers. Many of these projects are performed in secure space environments. Capitol Cable Communications, Inc. also provides ISP and OSP engineering and construction services in the Washington DC region for the nation’s largest telecommunication services provider.

The candidate selected will meet the majority of these job responsibilities, skills, and experience requirements:
•Receive, evaluate, and log RFPs from new and existing customers.
•Perform project take-offs, create material/equipment lists, read and interpret project Scope of Work Documents and RFP requirements.
•Prepare formal proposal documents, organize review meetings with Capitol Cable Communications, Inc. team, deliver proposals to customers, and perform all required follow-up during bid process.
•Assemble and provide project deliverables such as pre-bid qualification documents, equipment submittals, shop drawings, project as-builts, and close-out documents.
•Perform SOW reviews with Capitol Cable Communications, Inc. project team post award and provide technical support as needed during the project life cycle.
•Perform project cost reviews, pre and post project with Capitol Cable Communications, Inc team to refine best practices.
•Prepare and deliver RFPs and Task Orders to Capitol Cable Communications, Inc. suppliers, vendors and subcontractors, and evaluate responses.
•Coordinate and prepare change order estimates for current customer projects.
•Previous experience coordinating installation and construction crew schedules, collaborating with customers and vendors managing supply logistics, and providing team members with project specific guidance preferred.
•Understanding of local construction codes and low-voltage electrical codes.
•Previous estimating experience in the telecommunications or construction industry preferred.
•Attention to detail, productive time management abilities, and professionally oriented inter-personal relationship practice required.
•Ability and comfort communicating with industry professionals of all levels and experience, excellent listening skills, and pride and ownership of the position responsibility.
•Enjoy working in a team environment.
•High School graduate with 1-2 years of project supervisor experience or relevant education.
•3-5 years of Telecommunications Structured cabling or equivalent experience.
•BICSI Installer Certification or equivalent training and experience.
•United States Citizen status, background check and drug testing will be required.
•Proficiency with Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other related software.
