Here's another we have for sale at the moment: Concept 2.0 Receiver. We recently serviced it. Replaced electrolytic capacitors in phono preamp section, preamp and amp output sections, 2 main power supply filters and new front panel led lamps, cleaned tuner gang, cleaned and lubed all controls and switches, replaced ac line cord, adjusted technical service adjustments. Tested all inputs and AM & FM functions. Has powerful sound like an 80 watt receiver- fantastic. This is up for $350. CALL if interested 847-437-1212. No text or fb messages here. So we're trying to clear out a few things from our inventory. For sale is an Admiral 5E22AN radio that was manufactured in Chicago, IL 1950-51. We've recently serviced it and it works and sounds like new. The AC power cord was replaced, 2 tubes were replaced, all the wax capacitors and electrolytic caps were replaced, Silvermica caps in both I F coils were replaced, the on off control was cleaned and lubed, the tuning gang was cleaned, the cabinet was polished and it was bench tested. $250. We don't normally have items up for sale, but every once in a while we have something. So here is a set of Pioneer CS-R570 3 way floor standing speakers. 4 inch tweeter, 6 inch mid, 12 inch woofer and base port. Dimensions 15 inches wide by 36 inches tall by 9.5 inches deep. Rated at 150 watts. All the speakers are in excellent condition. Cabinets aren't perfect but in nice condition. Grills are also in nice condition. For sale at $325. Not everything we work on has to be an official piece of audio equipment. Over the years we've fixed flat irons, motionettes, outdoor christmas decorations, and even electric cookie shooters.
And now Don can add this to his list- a super old vintage Noma Santa blow mold wreath. He repaired several cracks, installed a new ac line cord, replaced the incandescent lamps with l.e.d.'s, cleaned and installed new back cover attachment anchors where the originals were broken. Molly even tried to touch up the paint on the cracks. Not perfect, but much better than to start with. Now Santa is good for another generation to enjoy. (And he does look much better lit up in person :D )

Here's a recent fix. A 1960s portable GE record player. Don disassembled and pulled the record changer, reconditioned the dual platter drive idler, removed the old lube/grease from the transmission assembly and tone arm knuckle and applied new to all the mechanisms, spindle bearing shaft and the record trip lever. He installed a new multi-section main filter cap then tested the tubes and cleaned the cartridge and stylus. Then the controls and turntable switches were cleaned and lubed. After that it was reassembled and all the functions were tested. And finally, which I should have taken a before and after but forgot, Don cleaned the case and record changer. It looks like a different piece now after the cleaning lol.

It's that time of year again. Holidays mean lots of work on our end. People want their stuff fixed so they can play their music for the season. So here's a fun one that came to us. It's an Ampzilla (que the Godzilla roar in your head now lol). Don disassembled the front end and replaced a defective fuse lamp panel on the panel holder, replaced all 6 fuse lamps, then reassembled. Finally tested the lamp/meter function and cleaned the cooling fan. Good as new.
