The Black-Eyed Press LLC

The Black-Eyed Press LLC The Black Eyed Press is a printmaking and book arts studio. The studio is open on Thursdays, most Saturdays and often Sundays.

April 1, 2021 the Black-Eyed Press, LLC turns 10 years old, and it has been the most amazing 10 years. When I moved into the current large space flooded with great natural light, I had no clue how incredible the community of artists who also call 16th Street Studios their creative home is. While COVID has slowed in-person group meetings at the press, it has not stopped creativity and community fro

m happening here. If you are interested in printmaking or book arts or are just want to spend some time working at one of our large tables, let me know. Instruction and studio rental are available by appointment. Thank you for all your support through the first ten years at the Black-Eyed Press!

I have done it! Last month I decided it was time to join all the amazing artists and to get involved more in the local art seen. I am already having fun. I am excited to be showing this mixed media artwork that I created a few months ago. The pieces are a combination of linocuts and other materials that I created over time and had set aside. I really enjoy the contrast of colors and pattern with the black and white print. If you are in the Kenosha, WI area on Second Saturday please stop at Lemon Street Gallery and support your local artists.
