"Selfish Prayer"

selfishness or selflessness
Words that are easily abandoned
Maintained inside, easily managed
But who are we to say, or call on when we are in need?
The good god above is the one I call on in deed
My god, my god why has thou forsaken me
Words I know all to well, but why is he to blame?
Im in the world of sin with a want to get out,
But that price is costly,
Is there an easier way out?
No, dear friend but one thing I know,
Prayer changes things!!
And I have a blessing to claim...
Looking back my prayer was for the world around me
Why must I pray for a world when the outcome is written.
Only 144 thousand shall go,
So I see now there is no room to boast.
Today when I pray, ill admit im selfish, Im selfish because he tells me to request for myself and all shall be granted.
He ask for me to give my all and in return my riches will be foretold.
So I pray to his name, the only time I drop to my knees and its not invain.
I stretch my arms to the sky,
letting go of all my pride!!
Because in his eyes I'm letting everything go and making heaven my sight.
And whats the price of that?
Just a lil time nothing to costly...
So drop to your knees and give him a dime.
he doesn't require much...
Just all of your time...
