There should be a warning against driving in conditions like these.
As a photographer, there's nothing more irresistible than a sky on fire. Towering clouds, bursting with color and energy, and I'm stuck behind the wheel, unable to stop.
My heart starts racing. My eyes scan the horizon in every direction. Every instinct tells me to grab my phone, but I resist.
Thankfully, I made it safely to the next exit just in time to catch one of the final moments of the sunset.
Could I have captured better compositions with more time? Absolutely. But sometimes it's not about getting the perfect shot. Sometimes it's simply about answering that irresistible call to witness something extraordinary. The were enough to quiet my restless mind and bring everything back into balance.
Any other photographers know exactly what I'm talking about?
