🏛️ With hurricane season underway, members of Senator Rick Scott's Naples team visited the Collier County EOC for a live StormQuant demo covering 3D radar, true wind velocity, and storm surge decision-making.

"Collier County Emergency Management appreciated the opportunity to share how tools such as StormQuant can support operational awareness and decision-making before and during incidents." — Michael Shaw, Collier County Division Director of Emergency Management

New installations are headed to Miami-Dade and Charlotte County EOCs next.

What does your EOC currently rely on for real-time storm surge decisions? We'd love to hear in the comments.

StormQuant's New Patent Changes What Radar Can Do

🛡️ U.S. Patent No. 12,607,709 is official. Meter-level 3D resolution, a self-healing network, and compact design that outperforms legacy systems at a fraction of the cost.

Legacy radar was built for another era. This is what comes next.

What capability do you think is most missing from traditional weather radar? Drop it in the comments.

It is that time once again....be prepared.

June 2 2026 ORLANDO, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis joined Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) Executive Director Kevin Guthrie, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Secretary Jared Perdue, and Florida National Guard (FLNG) Major General John Hass to encourage Floridians to...

💨 Here is something most people do not know: standard radar only measures the component of wind moving directly toward or away from the sensor. Everything else, the cross-winds, the vertical motion, the full 3D picture, is missing.

For a storm chaser, that might be acceptable. For an emergency manager deciding whether to evacuate a coastal county, a pilot determining whether to launch, or a Space Force meteorologist clearing a rocket for flight, it is not.

StormQuant's True Wind Velocity technology synthesizes data from multiple radar sources to calculate the complete 3D wind field in real time. No gaps. No guesswork. Just the full picture, when it matters most.

The Most Dangerous Variable in Spaceflight Is the Weather

🚀 A launch window can close in seconds. One unforecast wind shear, one unexpected lightning cell, one cloud layer at the wrong altitude, and a mission worth hundreds of millions of dollars stays on the ground.

Weather is the variable that no amount of engineering can eliminate. Which is why the teams at NASA, Space Force, and commercial launch providers need more than a forecast. They need real-time, hyperlocal atmospheric intelligence precise enough to make a go/no-go call with confidence.

That is what StormQuant is built to deliver. And it is why we put down roots on Florida's Space Coast.

StormQuant Is Now Fully Operational at Vance Air Force Base ✈️

Vance AFB trains more than 400 U.S. and allied pilots every year, logging over 80,000 flight hours. That mission does not stop for weather. But weather does not wait either.

StormQuant's BAT Series radar is now live at the base, installed on our mobile Scorpion Tower and fully operational in hours. With the Weather Viewer already in place, the 71st Flying Training Wing now has access to our complete platform, including RHI scanning that delivers real-time vertical storm profiles conventional radar simply cannot see.

When a severe weather system moves toward Enid, Oklahoma, base commanders now have the intelligence to act, not react.

StormQuant and the Florida Division of Emergency Management understand the importance of having the most advanced weather intelligence tools available at the EOC level. Collier County is a beneficiary of this collaborative effort.

Senator Rick Scott's Naples team, led by Erin Dever, toured StormQuant's weather radar platform at the Collier County EOC ahead of hurricane season.

Be prepared.

The best time to prepare for hurricanes is BEFORE hurricane season begins. Avoid having to rush through potentially life-saving preparations by waiting until it’s too late. Get your disaster supplies while the shelves are still stocked, and get that insurance checkup early, as flood insurance requires a 30-day waiting period. noaa.gov/prepare-before-hurricane-season
