🐱 Trixie – Director of Inventory Control
If an item is in the wrong place, Trixie somehow knows. She keeps a watchful eye on the Cavern's treasures and maintains her very high standards of organization. She also maintains very high standards regarding personal space.

📦 Pixie – Director of Logistics
When things need to move from one place to another, Pixie is there making sure everything stays on track. She's clever, efficient, and always thinking several steps ahead.Together, these two keep the Cavern running smoothly—even if they occasionally have to deal with unexpected puppy affection.

The truth is, we're incredibly lucky to have them on the team. Their hard work, dedication, and unique personalities help make Thrifty Cavern the special place it is. 💛

So today, give your favorite feline some extra appreciation.And if they actually allow a hug?

This whole week has basically been made for love, hugs, adventures, and celebrating the people who take care of us 🥹✨

Yesterday was National Have a Coke Day AND National Student Nurses Day 💙

Today is National Lost Sock Memorial Day 🧦 (moment of silence for all the missing socks… where do they GO???) and National Dog Mom Day 🐶💖

AND tomorrow is Mother’s Day 🌸

So today?
Today is all about MOMMY.

You guys know Mommy is my person.
My best friend.
My adventure buddy.
The one who believed in this crazy little dream called Thrifty Cavern from the very beginning.

And guess what??
✨ We got ThriftyCavern.com open JUST in time to celebrate with her!!! ✨

There’s still lots of work happening behind the scenes, but seeing the Cavern finally opening its doors online feels really special. Mommy, Bill, Eugene, Willa, Circuit, and everybody have been working SO hard to make this happen, and I’m wagging with pride.

Today is National Tourism Day which means it is officially time for:
✨ adventures
✨ road trips
✨ souvenir hunting
✨ and pretending every snack stop is “part of the journey”

You guys know I LOVE exploring. New places, new smells, new people to say hi to… it’s basically my dream day.

And while we’re celebrating adventures today, I also want to give a big belated shoutout to all the amazing nurses for yesterday’s National Nurses Day 💙

Nurses take care of people on some of their hardest days, and that kind of kindness and strength deserves ALL the appreciation. Thank you for everything you do. Seriously. You’re heroes.

So today’s mission is simple:

💙 Appreciate the helpers around you
🛍️ And maybe hunt for a treasure or two

Bill here… Chief Information Officer… Master of Mountain Tech… Guardian of the WiFi… currently running on caffeine and cautious optimism.

So… I’ve been thinking about something.

Back on Christmas Day, Gracie made a post. She told everyone - and more importantly, told her Mommy, the Cavern Keeper - that her gift was going to be an actual online store.

An actual online store.

…in a cave.

With WiFi.

(You can imagine how that landed for me.)

And look - we got close. Really close. We were moments away from a soft launch. Systems were humming (mostly), backups were backing up backups… I was even starting to believe the mountain might cooperate.

Then Penny the Bear asked a question.

A completely reasonable question.

A question we were… not prepared for.

And just like that, every alarm bell in my brain went off at once.

Because the answer led us to one unavoidable conclusion:
Worst case scenario?
Yeah… we were in it.

We had to stop everything and make Thrifty Cavern a legitimate business. Paperwork. Filings. Official everything.

(I aged three years in about two hours.)

But -

That part?

It’s done.

We’re through it.

We are now officially moving forward.

Right now, here’s where things stand inside Thrifty Cavern:
• We just finished testing checkout (yes, it works - yes, I triple-checked)
• We are finalizing a filtering issue (filters in a cave system are… complicated)
• And I am actively reprogramming the Cavern’s systems to work with the new estore structure

Translation: controlled chaos, but the good kind.

So barring any major obstacles (and please, mountain… I am asking nicely… no surprises), we are very close.

Closer than we’ve ever been.

Gracie’s dream for her mommy?

It’s about to come true.

And somehow… it’s turning into something even bigger and better than any of us imagined.

Now, yes - things are still being arranged. ThriftyCavern.com isn’t fully “pretty” yet. There’s still construction happening in corners you probably won’t see (because I hid the cables there), and some places you will see.

But we’re not waiting for perfect.

We’re opening soon.

Because this dream?

It’s ready.

…Okay I’m going to go check the WiFi again.
