Microsoft released a beautiful ATR upgrade! The plane looks amazing and is likely in our top 5 favorite aircraft types to fly, perfect for both short and medium-haul flights with short runways.

✨ ATG | Airline Traffic Global
📢 Update 1 — Now Available

🎨 White/default liveries have now been fully replaced with authentic airline designs using neutral, globally consistent naming.
This is currently the only improvement we were able to implement directly due to platform limitations.

🧭 Over the past week, we conducted controlled testing, iteration, and data‑driven refinement across aircraft parking logic, regional livery placement, and airport distribution. During this process, we identified a confirmed, scalable solution for the long‑standing issue of aircraft spawning in the wrong regions.

✈️ However, deploying those deeper fixes requires changes on the platform side. Until those systems are updated, replacing the white/default liveries was the only modification we could safely and reliably push live.

☁️ Platform Status:
Asobo is currently reviewing updates to both the Marketplace cloud and the in‑game traffic override system. These updates are essential for ATG to properly sit above the default traffic layer and take full control of parking, spawning, and regional accuracy.

⏳ We’re optimistic the wait won’t be long.
Once the platform adjustments are in place, ATG will be able to deliver the full accuracy, behavior, and regional fidelity it was designed for — seamlessly and automatically.

👋 Hello everyone,

📢 This post will be brief and straightforward.

This post is mainly for console users whose in-game resources are limited.

Regarding the large number of default white liveries with ATG, this is mainly due to three reasons:

1. 🔄 We need the structure to override the default files. This is currently pending with Asobo. Once approved, the default liveries will be removed permanently.
2. 🛬 Default airports often lack an assigned ICAO for their parking. This causes the game to assign default liveries, as it does not know where to park the aircraft. 3rd-party airports have the best outcomes so far.
3. 🚫 Incorrect aircraft types and liveries at airports. Addressing this issue will help block wrong liveries. Once file override access is granted, this should no longer be a problem.

💡 We invite you to pitch to Microsoft via their forum to request an experimental ULTRA setting for air traffic. This would allow you to see all airline traffic, though it may create memory issues. Notably, SU5 has significantly boosted performance on the X.

No matter the circumstances, we are sticking to our work and wrapping up unfortunate late releases.

(small update to not keep others waiting, there are elements that were completed, and some requested these fixes)

Updated PFD colors to more closely match the real avionics.
Updated MFD for the General Electric engine type, removing N3.

Updated weight and balance to go well with our Simbrief profile.

Added wind reflection to the rudders.
Spoiler behaviors are normal now when making turns.

Update 4.9 for the 787-9 and 4.5 for the 787-8 should be wrapped up by the end of this month. This will include additional body animations and a long list of new liveries. A lot of the model has been reworked, refining it to look more like the real aircraft. Once those updates are released, it will be easier to wrap up Update 5 for each variant.
Like we tell everyone via email and our forum, "the sooner the better for all of us BUT it has to be done correctly."

We won't rest until then.

We branded the default airport equipment with the most popular airline ground support providers, Swissport and LSG Skychef.Now, it looks like the real ground-support machinery that you find at airports is increasing your immersion!We gave some machines a facelift.2x Boarding Stairs

We primarily covered the most active vehicles. Especially the ones that service your aircraft. While taxiing and/or walking, you will notice branded and retextured buses, vans, and trucks roaming the airport. There’s an upcoming update that will include some background equipment and containers to resemble real equipment. Why did we choose these companies? This is a simple update to GSE that applies to all airports worldwide. We haven’t developed a menu to change the company or object type in the command just yet. And so, Swissport is the world's most popular ground support provider. And LSG Skychef most dominates the catering airline business.

If you choose to acquire it I hope you enjoy it.
Unfortunately, this particular product doesn't give us the chance to put it on rent. But we've reached out to Microsoft.

No, we haven't stopped working, and yes, we are working to release an update as soon as possible.
What will it include?
Livery for both variants, newly updated elements, and fixes.
We are hoping to release an update monthly to get close to update 5.

UPDATE 4.8 version 1.3.1 October 30th 2025

Updated the aircraft file structure and base name so it can be easily identified and utilized with Newsky or other 3d party programs.

Brought in a new sound designer. Updated sound set with interior cabin ambience and ground rolling sounds. Fixed the continuous hydraulic flap sounds for 2024 users.

Updated PFD colors to resemble the real-life aircraft. (had many requests).
The font size on the communication screens was adjusted to match the actual size of the real-life aircraft.
Added Air New Zealand ZK-NZG (per many requests)
Added Norse Atlantic G-CKWP

Added cursor to lower display (FMC).

Updated systems to the latest Working Title 787-10 version.

In-flight announcements continue uninterrupted when switching between interior and external views.

We want to upload/update anything we can forward to you guys from the current work we are involved in of modernizing and giving the fleet the correct final and realistic look. We are not saving everything for a hyped big update. But like I mentioned before most of what needs to be released must use the new 3d work which by experience it has to be done carefully and not rushed.

I'm also listening to people's requests, inputs and ideas. Everyone gets an answer from us. Some things we will not proceed with and most we will.

Painters and GSX users will need to update their files. These packages are available on our website and flightsim.to

On the current 787-9 update, the HUD is INOP. This has been patched and will be uploaded to Microsoft by today.
