Denielle Noe: Living Creatively

Denielle Noe: Living Creatively Welcome to my page! This is my little corner of the world where I post and share my art. It's meditative, creative and completely addicting!

I like to take this opportunity to introduce myself; my name is Denielle Noe and I am an artist who likes to dabble in many different art forms. I started out as a photographer and graphic designer but lately I have been moving towards drawing as my preferred medium. On my page you will find various art 'corners' like 'drawing', pastel', and 'pen & ink' with an photo gallary dedicated to each. PEN

& INK (ZENTANGLE) CORNER
In this corner I recently discovered a new guided art form called Zentangle®. The art of Zentangle® is repetitive patterns using only a pen, a square piece of paper called a tile and a pencil. This corner will be filled with my latest tiles, ZIA's (Zentangle Inspired Art) and other pen and ink drawings

DRAWING CORNER
In this corner you will see some of my early and current graphite and charcoal drawings. Drawing is the foundation of all drawing media so you will definitely see practice sketches and other doodles in this section. PASTEL CORNER
I am far from being an accomplished pastel artist, but I love the way pastel blends and moves across my paper. In this corner you will find some of my pastel explorations and genuine love for this medium. JOURNAL CORNER
This corner is where I share pages from my very own art journal. Here you will see what inspires and motivates me. I view my journal as my playground. There are no rules, no limits, just pure art fun! ABOUT ZENTANGLE
The Zentangle® art form and method was created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas and is copyrighted. Zentangle® is a registered trademark of Zentangle, Inc. Learn more at zentangle.com.

Happy thanksgiving everyone! Just popping in to share that I am participating again in Marly’ Birds Turkey Trot this year. This year it is not a mystery make-a-long but it will be the most adventurous thing I have done in a short time. A whole sweater by December 4th! I will be posting my journey as I go along starting with my progress from last night. Wish me luck!

Week 3 - Day 7: I usually struggle getting the angle consistent on my descending loop drills but this time I felt I did a pretty good job at the angles and spacing 👍

Week 3 - Day 6: I flew through ascending loop drills - mostly because I wanted to catch up so badly on the weekend but two, these are a nice break from Day 5 Oval drills. 😉

Week 3 - Day 5: O in ovals should stand for BOO! Like boo-hoo I can’t stand doing ovals. It may be just how I am feeling this week but I felt this was my worst drill set yet. Just one more chance to get a bit better at these 👻

Week 3 - Day 4: Well, I was on a mini roll and I became derailed again. Playing catch-up again this evening. Compound curves are still my favorite drills and I really enjoyed doing them. 😃

Week 3 - Day 3: Coming off my success of my second attempt at the overturn stroke drills, my underturn drills went fairly well for me. Is it perfect? No. But that is not my goal. My goal is to improve through practice and keep notes on where I can do better the next time. Practice Makes Progress not Perfect 👍

Week 3 - Day 2: Whoa. I really struggled with the overturn stroke drills today to the point I scraped my first attempt and started again in the morning. I discovered that trying to push myself when I am exhausted and trying to ward off sleep is not a good time to start drills. On the flip side, the morning attempts were much better. 😃
