This sacred gathering served as a time to remember, honor, and celebrate her life while family, friends, loved ones, and community members came together in prayer and reflection.

Honoring the life of Dorian Jackson, a remarkable young man whose life reflected leadership, scholarship, service, brotherhood, and love for others. A proud third-generation Aggie and senior at North Carolina A&T State University, Dorian was a Cheatham-White Scholar studying Marketing with a concentration in Sales. He served his university community through the Honors College, Student Government Association, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and as a proud member of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, where he embraced the principles of scholarship, service, and love for all mankind. His commitment to young people also led him to pour back into Dudley High School, helping empower young men through mentorship and professional development.

Dorian’s life came to a tragic end while he was attempting to save his younger sister after her kayak capsized at Lake Norman. As the eldest of eight children, his final act reflected the selflessness, courage, and love that defined the way he lived. Though his life was far too short, Dorian leaves behind a lasting legacy through his family, fraternity brothers, classmates, mentors, university, and the young people he inspired.
