Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he rose from humble beginnings to become an international recording artist, songwriter, producer, and performer whose music transcended generations. Known as the “King of Balladeers,” he built a remarkable career through timeless hits such as “Feel the Fire,” “I’m So Into You,” “If Ever You’re in My Arms Again,” and “Can You Stop the Rain,” while inspiring countless artists through his unmatched vocal excellence and dedication to his craft.
