📚🦉 AN OWL MOUNTAIN PRESS UPDATE
I wanted to share a small but important update regarding new author submissions and services through Owl Mountain Press.
At this time, we are temporarily closed to taking on new authors for full-time publishing services.

This is not a decision I made lightly. I absolutely love working with authors, helping bring their books into the world, and walking beside writers through the many moving pieces of publishing. However, my health simply will not allow me to responsibly take on additional authors at the level of involvement they deserve right now.

And that last part matters.

If I agree to work with an author, I want to be able to give their book, their goals, and their publishing journey the attention they deserve. I would much rather temporarily close the door to new full-service clients than overextend myself and be unable to provide the quality of support I expect from Owl Mountain Press.

🖤 That does NOT mean we are disappearing.
If you are choosing to self-publish and simply need a little guidance along the way, I am still happy to help whenever my availability allows.

Maybe you need advice about where to begin. Maybe you have questions about formatting, covers, ISBNs, distribution, publishing platforms, editing, author branding, or what comes after you type The End. Maybe you have already started the self-publishing process and have reached the portion where everything suddenly seems to have approximately 47 tiny buttons and none of them explain what they actually do. 😂
You do not necessarily need a publisher to walk beside you through the entire process. Sometimes you just need someone who knows the road to point out the potholes.

📚 Self-publishing consultations and individual publishing assistance will remain available based on my health and schedule.

So while Owl Mountain Press is currently unable to accept additional authors for full publishing partnerships, writers are still welcome to reach out for advice, consultations, and assistance with specific pieces of their self-publishing journey.
