After all the astrological fuss we’ve been moving through lately, I’m welcoming this New Moon in Libra! 🌑 ⚖️

Libra brings us back to balance and harmony and I’ve been thinking about how much those two things show up in our everyday lives. The way we talk to ourselves, the relationships we nurture, even the everyday tasks that fill our days. There’s energy in all of it.

With today being 10-10 Portal and World Mental Health Day, it’s a good time to check in with yourself. Take a moment to notice what’s been activating your nervous system. What’s been triggering a reaction or stirring up emotions? Sometimes our emotions are telling us something is worth exploring.

Grab your journal and ask yourself, “What’s been triggering an emotional reaction?”

Get curious about what comes up. What’s underneath that feeling? Where can you use more honesty or more balance? What feels aligned? What are you ready to release? What are you ready to nurture? Keep asking questions. Sometimes there’s more to discover when you give yourself the chance to explore beyond that first answer.

Bring a little more intention into your daily routine. 💫

This is something I love about taking a daily activity and giving it intention. Even an ordinary task can become an opportunity to check in with yourself and notice the energy you’re bringing into that moment. Research has explored how rituals and familiar routines can help ease anxiety by giving the brain and nervous system a sense of predictability and safety. And when we feel safe, we can become more open to curiosity, reflection, and discovering something new about ourselves.

Try bringing that intention into something you already do each day. As you move through your routine, notice the energy you’re bringing with you. Use that moment to check in with yourself, then carry that awareness into your relationships. How are you giving and receiving? Are you honoring your own needs? Is there a healthy give and take? Where might a boundary help you protect your energy?

That’s where the Libra themes of balance, harmony, and self-respect come together. The relationship you have with yourself influences how you show up with others, what you nurture, and what you allow into your life.

This New Moon in Libra is a beautiful opportunity to also set intentions around the relationships you want to cultivate, the harmony you want to create, and what being true to yourself looks like in your everyday life.

Plant an intention that protects your peace. ✨

Inside every creative lives a truer self — a light that existed before all the noise got layered on top of it.

We call it different things. Your voice. Your source. Your true nature. None of the names quite hold the whole of it, but you know it when you feel it.

Its that state where you disappear and the work simply moves through you, like it was always going to exist and you just happened to be standing there when it arrived.

Authenticity isn’t a destination you reach and then get to keep. It’s a daily practice. It’s showing up and creating the thing that whispers to you.

It’s choosing integrity over imitation. Patience over production. Depth over display.

It’s embracing your true self.

It comes from listening closely to what moves you the small, specific things only you would notice.

It’s burning away the borrowed opinions, the performance, the fear of what it should look like until what’s left is only what was true the whole time.

You don’t invent your authentic self. You clear a path back to it.

And when you create from that place, unplugged from ego and fully connected to the source, the work stops feeling like labor and starts feeling like remembering.

Return to it again and again. Watch what you make become entirely, sovereignly yours.

There is a version of you on the other side of what feels messy right now.

If your body feels heavy, if your mind is foggy, or if your mood has felt different and unexplained over these last few days, there’s a reason why.

This unexpected heat, paired with the full moon hangover and active solar flares hitting at the exact same time, creates a heavy physical load. (why I’m not sleeping)

There’s so much energetic change happening around us and it feels completely messy.

We so often get caught waiting for everything on the outside to calm down before we allow ourselves to move forward, but we forget to look inward at what we actually embody.

That chaos belongs to the outside world.

The messy, unsettled state you feel right now is the active environment of your own transformation.

You are the change and the rebirth and you can evolve right in the middle of this mess without waiting for the world to settle.

This is the exact journey the butterfly embodies. 🦋 It serves as a spiritual messenger reminding us that external turbulence has no authority over our internal growth.

To become what it is, the butterfly moves through distinct stages of evolving, leaves the safety of its cocoon and places full trust in its wings to carry it through the magical world.

Through every step of its journey, the butterfly teaches us that change is safe.

Discover the encouragement you need to embrace the changes happening in your life, take action as you move through your flow, let go of trying to find definite control, and trust that the universe has your next step.

The transformation is already alive, active, and taking shape inside you right now!!!✨

There is something powerful about giving an emotion a visual form because it gives us another way to experience it.

I want you to know that when you are struggling to find words to communicate your emotions, there is another way that you can release them and it's by creating. Spoken words often demand precision and clarity.

When you turn to art and creativity instead, the process becomes very intuitive. The emotions are not forced or analyzed; they are released by flowing out. There is no methodical process you have to follow and no right or wrong approach.

When you have difficulty communicating what is inside, you can use creativity to express everything that words fail to say.

Have you ever felt something so deeply that finding the words for it feels almost impossible?

Grief can carry so much beneath the surface. Sometimes there are layers of emotion, memories, questions and feelings that are difficult to explain out loud.

Art gives those feelings another language.

Color. Shape. Movement. Texture.

You can express what is moving through you without having to find the perfect words for it.

Look at the artwork I’m sharing. Each artist created a representation of grief and every piece tells a completely different story.

That’s the beautiful thing about expressing emotion through art. Your experience is yours. Your grief is yours. Your way of expressing it can be yours, too.

Sometimes creating gives you the space to simply be with what you’re feeling. As you make, you may notice something coming forward. A memory. An emotion. A feeling you’ve been carrying. Something you’re ready to express.

And sometimes, the simple act of creating gives your mind calmness.

Art can become a way to release emotion, explore what’s within you and reconnect with yourself.

There are so many ways to express what lives inside of us.

Sometimes, the words come.

Sometimes, creativity does. 🎨

Watercolor can become so much more than making a painting. 🖼️

There’s something about the movement of the water, the blending of color and the simple act of putting brush to paper that invites you to slow down and be present.

You get to breathe.
You get to notice.
You get to let whatever is ready to move through you find its own expression.

For me, that’s part of the beauty of painting. The process gives your emotions somewhere to go and gives your mind a little more room to find calmness.

That’s the space you’ll find inside of my Comforting Circles gathering.

Sometimes a circle is just a shape.

Sometimes it becomes a way to process grief. 💜

Watercolor can be more than a creative outlet.

It can become a grounding, meditative practice that brings you fully into the present moment. As you paint, your mind has space to quiet, your emotions have space to move and your body can begin to settle.

There’s something deeply restorative about giving yourself that time to simply be in the process.

My class, Comforting Circles was created to offer that sacred space.

A space to slow down, paint, breathe and reconnect with yourself through creativity.
