Have you heard of Terrain? If so, you should know that it’s bigger than a couple art events each year!

It’s education & continued support, it’s listening to the needs of local creatives, it’s finding solutions that make a difference in the lives of people looking to live out their creative dreams, it’s asking the right questions, it’s building something bigger, it’s trailblazing paths where there are none.

It’s creating sustainable pathways to creative livelihood.

My own home has arched doorways, and every-time I see hand-painted arches I’m compelled to get out my brushes! Have you been to the Riverside Mausoleum for that matter? They really stepped it up a notch with the decorative paint work on each overhead beam!

It was fun to see so many people come out in support of small local businesses. Terrain worked to get folks into one room, and each participant gave it their all!

The Creative Enterprise Pitch Party was last night! What a great turnout from people who love the arts and supporting creative business.

I particularly loved seeing my classmates tables, viewing their work in person, and knowing how successful they can be moving forward!

It was encouraging to watch Terrain staff hustle hard for their belief in Spokane’s talent.

Thank you to all who’ve paid attention to the news, donate to Terrain, create a vibrant arts community, buy direct from local artists, and support local independant businesses and their services!

We need EACH OTHER Spokane!

I can’t do what I do, sharing my gifts with my hometown and local community, without the support of my neighbors. Like Ildikó Kalapács might say, sustaining local business is a dance we are all in togerher.
