Some shops join a platform. A few help build it.
STOA Ci**rs in Houston was a founding member of AI Tobacconist. One of the first retailers to believe that a better way to match people with ci**rs belonged on the sales floor, not just in a brochure.
If you know STOA, you already know why that fit. John didn’t open another lounge, he built a destination: a spacious private members’ lounge with a curated retail floor downstairs, Spanish cedar lockers, a sports lounge, a library, and the kind of hospitality that makes “the fine art of doing nothing” feel like a serious craft.
