The 2026 Alabama NENA/APCO Gulf Coast Conference in Orange Beach has been canceled due to Hurricane Isaias.

We’ll miss seeing everyone, the great classes, the shrimp boil, and the costume contest—but everyone’s safety comes first.

Thank you to the conference committee for all your work and care through a difficult decision. Our prayers are with our friends, partners, and communities affected by the storm.

We’ll be there in 2027 and look forward to being together again!

Thank you to everyone who visited with Neal Brooks and Tim Watson at our booth last week during the South Carolina APCO/NENA Fall Conference at Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort!

We’re also celebrating one of our own—Jesse Merritt, a former Southern Software employee and current partner—who received the 911 Contributor Award and was sworn in as 2nd Vice President of the South Carolina NENA Chapter. His term begins in January.

Congratulations, Jesse! We know he’ll do a great job and we are so proud to have someone from our Southern Software family recognized by the 9-1-1 community.

We’re praying for our friends, partners, loved ones, and every community affected by Hurricane Isaias.

While many shelter indoors, first responders are helping those in need whenever conditions allow. We pray for their safety, along with dispatchers, utility crews, and everyone helping their neighbors.

Even after the winds ease, floodwaters may rise and weakened trees or structures can fall. Stay alert, avoid flooded roads and downed power lines, and follow local guidance.

Look after one another when it’s safe. Our prayers continue through the storm and the recovery ahead.
