Texas SoundCom was established on May 1, 2025, as a new DBA following the sale of Southwest Building Systems by G. Originally founded on January 1, 1981, Southwest Building Systems focused on fire alarm systems and expanded in 1983 to include sound and intercom divisions. With the transition, Texas SoundCom continues the legacy of excellence in sound and intercom solutions, while the fire alarm di

vision remained with the Southwest Building Systems name and was part of the sale. Today, Texas SoundCom is dedicated solely to delivering high-quality sound and intercom systems for schools, stadiums, and commercial facilities across Texas.

🎉 Celebrating 1 Year of Texas SoundCom! 🎉

One year ago, we launched Texas SoundCom, continuing the legacy of G. Thornhill, Inc., founded in 1981 and now led by its 3rd generation.

Since then, we’ve hit the ground running! Across Texas, we’ve installed sound systems in stadiums, gymnasiums, and auditoriums. Closer to home in Southeast Texas, we design, install, and upgrade intercom systems.

This milestone is made possible by our dedicated team, including employees who have been with us for over 20 years.
