What's a great July 4th celebration without the star of the show?

Well this year, we had a front row seat for the fireworks display and though we didn't have the right gear for this location - I couldn't have asked for a better seat in the house. Thanks again to the Selah Downtown Association, the Selah Fire Department, the Selah Police Department, and the army of volunteers that make this such an incredible event each year!

Happy National Camera Day!

Photography has always been more than taking pictures for me. It’s been a way of preserving moments, finding beauty in unexpected places, and telling the story of a life that’s constantly evolving and beautiful.

Many of you have followed my journey through the years. From setting out on my own with Warhorse Studio in 2010 through the formation of Valhalla Creative in 2024. My camera has long been a part of my creative journey and to celebrate National Camera Day, I’m sharing some of my favorite moments I’ve captured over the past few years. I hope you’ll continue to follow along as we capture more incredible moments and share the continuing stories of our beautiful valley.

One of the best parts about photographing weddings in Central Washington is that you don’t have to force beauty into the background. It’s already here.

From golden fields and orchard rows to mountain views, rolling hills, river spots, desert sunsets, and those warm summer evenings that somehow feel like they last forever, this area gives couples some unreal places to tell their story.

I’ve always loved capturing weddings in a way that feels connected to the people and the place around them.

Pets are never “just animals.”

They’re part of the routine, part of the family, part of the memories tied to home. The weird little habits, the personalities, the chaos, the comfort they bring after a long day… it all matters.

One of my favorite things to photograph is animals exactly as they are. Not overly posed. Not forced. Just real moments that actually feel like them.

Whether they’re calm, chaotic, dramatic, sleepy, clingy, or giving me this exact face mid-yawn, those are usually the photos people end up loving the most years later.

If you’ve been thinking about getting photos of your furry best friend, this is your sign.
