Before I designed websites, I designed clothing 👀— studying Fashion Design at FIT in NYC and later designing outdoor apparel for The North Face.

That chapter taught me a lesson I carry into every project today:

💁🏻‍♀️ Design without strategy is just pretty design.

In apparel, every detail matters — the silhouette, the fabric, the end use, the placement of a seam. The same is true for websites: they need to look great and perform with purpose.

There are soooo many parallels between designing apparel + websites. It’s why the transition to web design felt so seamless to me.

Good design requires thought & strategy. Plain and simple.

Today, I get to help service providers making a difference for people + the planet by designing strategy-led websites that are both stunning and functional.

✨Because good design isn’t just polished — it’s purposeful.

I’m constantly reminding myself I don’t fit a perfect, cute little shaped box with all the right systems, routines, and processes. I don’t have all my sh*t figured out.

But I do know what I love and what makes me, me. And without these parts, I probably wouldn’t be very dynamic. 😎

I’ve been quietly shifting a lot behind the scenes these past few months—and honestly, it’s been transformational.

Between client work and planning my wedding this summer (🎉!!), I’m really proud of how much grace I’ve given myself lately. But through the chaos comes clarity—and a few key changes have reshaped how I show up, serve clients, and structure my business. All for the better.

These shifts have brought way more clarity and ease to my day-to-day—and my nervous system. While there’s been a lot of evolving happening (more on that soon), these 3 big shifts stand out as the most impactful lately.

(Q1 also happened to be my highest-revenue quarter yet… so yeah, I’ll take the win. 👀)

There’s something special about working with businesses that make a difference. And when they’re women-owned? It just lights me up inside. I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients across industries—from food and beverage to aerospace to mental health. While I don’t have a specific niche, I always find myself drawn to working with businesses in the mental health space.

Why? Because it’s needed now more than ever. And it's helped me so much in my own life.

I've done some amazing work over the last few months, and I’m especially grateful for the incredible women I’ve worked with along the way. Launching AWA Counseling Services rebrand and new website was one of my favorite projects yet! 🎉

Feeling like this is 100% relatable?? You’re not alone—most of my clients feel the same! Running a business and wearing all the hats is tough enough, let alone spending hours trying to figure out something that’s not your core service.🫠

You might think DIY’ing your website and branding is the easier route, but here’s the truth: time is money, and these days, it’s the most valuable currency we have.

The reality is, we can’t do it all—and we shouldn’t have to. This is the biggest lesson I’ve learned in my business journey. Hiring experts or getting help in areas outside our expertise is essential for growth. The ROI might not be obvious right away, but it will definitely show up later when you can focus your time on what truly matters in your business. 😌
