๐Ÿ” When it comes to business security, passwords are still one of the weakest points.

People forget them, reuse them, or choose passwords that are too simple. Cybercriminals know this, which is why password-related attacks continue to grow.

๐Ÿ’ก Microsoft is now making it easier for Windows users to move toward a safer solution: passkeys.

A passkey is designed to replace the traditional password. Instead of typing a password, users can log in using a fingerprint, facial recognition, or a secure device PIN.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ The technology behind passkeys is much safer than standard passwords. A passkey uses two encrypted keys. One stays securely on the userโ€™s device, and the other stays with the service being accessed.

Because the secure key never leaves the device, it cannot easily be stolen or intercepted by hackers.

๐Ÿšซ Passkeys also reduce the risk of phishing attacks because users are not typing passwords into websites or apps.

While passkeys have existed for some time, managing them in Windows has not always been easy. Users often needed separate apps or extra setup steps.

โš™๏ธ That is starting to change.
Microsoft is rolling out updates in Windows 11 that improve passkey support and management. One important change is better integration with password managers such as 1Password.

This allows passkeys to sync more smoothly between Windows devices and supported applications.

๐Ÿ”„ Microsoft has also introduced new tools that make it easier for other password managers to work directly with Windows.

These updates are currently being tested in preview versions of Windows 11, but they show Microsoftโ€™s long-term direction very clearly.

๐Ÿ“ˆ The company is actively moving users away from traditional passwords and toward passkeys as the default sign-in method.

For businesses, this is an important security development to watch.

โœ… Passkeys can improve protection, reduce login frustration, and simplify account security management for employees.

Businesses that start preparing now will be in a better position as password-free security becomes more common.

We all love browser extensions, right? ๐ŸŒ

Maybe you use one for grammar checks, blocking ads, managing passwords, or even checking the weather. Small tools like these can make Chrome or Edge feel faster, smarter, and more personal.

But here is the problem: some extensions may be collecting far more information than you realize ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Security researchers recently uncovered a major cyberattack called *Operation RedDirection*. It started with a popular Chrome extension called โ€œColor Picker, Eyedropper - Geco colorpick.โ€

On the surface, it looked harmless. It simply helped users grab color codes from websites ๐ŸŽจ

Behind the scenes, though, the extension was reportedly:

โš ๏ธ Tracking every website users visited
โš ๏ธ Sending browsing data to remote servers
โš ๏ธ Collecting information without users knowing

And it did not stop there.

Researchers later found 18 Chrome and Edge extensions connected to the same activity, affecting more than 2.3 million users worldwide.

What makes this especially concerning is that many of these extensions originally appeared safe. They had positive reviews, thousands of downloads, and some were even promoted in official browser stores.

Somewhere along the way, attackers reportedly hijacked them through a supply-chain attack.

That means cybercriminals did not โ€œbreak intoโ€ usersโ€™ computers directly. Instead, they used trusted software updates and trusted tools to quietly spread malware through extensions people already installed.

Although many of these add-ons have now been removed from official stores, some are still available on third-party download websites.

If you recently installed browser tools like:

๐Ÿ”น Site unblockers
๐Ÿ”น Weather widgets
๐Ÿ”น Emoji keyboards
๐Ÿ”น Video downloaders
๐Ÿ”น Random productivity extensions

โ€ฆit is a good idea to review what is currently installed in your browser.

Here are a few smart security steps you can take today:

โœ… Remove extensions you no longer use
โœ… Delete anything suspicious or unfamiliar
โœ… Clear your browser history and saved data
โœ… Run a full antivirus scan
โœ… Update passwords and autofill information

Browser extensions can save time and improve productivity. But every add-on also adds another layer of risk if it is not from a trusted source.

Sometimes the biggest cyber threats do not come through locked doorsโ€ฆ they come through tools we already trust.

๐Ÿ’ญ Quick question: When was the last time you checked the extensions installed in your browser?

๐Ÿ’ป If you have used Windows for years, you probably know the panic of seeing the famous Blue Screen of Death ๐Ÿ˜…

Microsoft has officially replaced it in Windows 11.

The classic blue crash screen is now a Black Screen of Death after nearly 30 years.
Here is what changed:
โšซ Black background instead of blue
๐Ÿ™ The sad face is gone
๐Ÿ“ฑ The QR code is gone too
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Simpler message: โ€œYour device ran into a problem and needs to restart.โ€

You will still see technical details like the stop code and failed system file at the bottom.

For most people, a crash is still a crash ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
But the redesign is getting attention for a few reasons:
๐Ÿ‘€ Some users say the new screen looks too much like a normal Windows update screen.
โšก Others think the black design feels cleaner and more modern.
Personally, I will not miss the QR code. Most people never had enough time to scan it anyway ๐Ÿ˜„

I do think Microsoft added a clearer warning so users instantly know something went wrong.

๐Ÿ’ญ What do you think?
Does the design of an error screen matter to you, or do you just want your PC working again ASAP?
