Managed IT has almost no barriers to entry. From the outside, a three-person shop and a 40-person team with specialists, an on-call schedule, documented procedures, and a third-party audit can look like the same company.

The difference shows up the moment you ask for evidence.

Multifactor enforcement. Patch compliance. Asset inventory. A provider actually doing this work can export the proof in minutes, because the tools generate it on their own. If the proof takes weeks or never arrives, it is reasonable to assume the work is not happening.

The same test applies to internal IT. Whoever owns technology should be able to put a report in front of leadership on a regular basis showing these controls are in place, tested, and still being discussed.

Before you sign anything, ask for the last report they gave a client.

Ever joined a meeting and felt like you were talking to a wall of AI? 🤖

It’s wild how many assistants show up instead of actual people!

I had a meeting today where I invited six people, but only two of us were real. The rest? Just AI avatars chiming in.

Have you ever tried saying something absurd just to see if anyone's listening? I joked that the first person to text me would get a hundred bucks! 😂

It’s like we’re in a sci-fi movie where the machines take over our conversations.

Let’s talk about it! How do you feel about AI in meetings? Do you think it’s helpful or just a distraction?

Ever wonder why your patient volume might be down? 🤔

I had a doctor reach out to me about this very issue. We dug into the phone logs and discovered something surprising: his receptionist was telling callers there was no availability after 3 PM!

This simple oversight was costing him potential appointments and revenue.

Here are a few key takeaways:

- **Check your phone logs regularly**: You might uncover hidden issues affecting your business.
- **Prioritize tasks**: If someone is juggling multiple roles, like answering calls and checking in patients, the phone will often take a backseat.
- **Embrace technology**: Online appointment booking can help streamline the process and ensure you don’t miss out on new patients.

Have you ever faced a similar situation in your practice? Let’s discuss how we can improve patient engagement together!

Ever felt overwhelmed by paper charts? 📄

I remember transitioning a group of family practice doctors from paper to digital. They had rooms filled with charts and a team just to manage them!

At first, the doctors were frustrated. Finding things was stressful, and the change felt daunting. But we scanned everything in, and it took about two years to get through all those charts.

Now, that room is an exam space for another provider!

One doctor even told me, "When we started, I thought I wanted to kill you!" But now? He loves it!

Change can be tough, but the benefits are worth it. Have you ever made a big change that felt overwhelming at first? Share your story!

Opening a new office doesn't have to be a huge headache if you've got the right plan in place.

IT support for multiple locations turns on a few early decisions: how the sites connect, how staff sign in, how phones work, and what it costs.

Is your business "Safe Harbor" ready?

In 2026, cybersecurity in Texas is not just a technical problem. It is a legal one.

Under SB 2610, Texas businesses can limit their liability during a breach. However, this only applies if they have documented and recognized frameworks in place.

The baseline of that protection is Multi-factor authentication (MFA).

But here is the catch. Enabling MFA is not the same as implementing it correctly. If you are still relying on SMS codes or simple push notifications, you might be leaving a door open for MFA Fatigue attacks.

I just published a deep dive on how to implement MFA that actually holds up under Texas regulatory scrutiny.

We cover:
✅ How the 2025 Safe Harbor law impacts your liability.
✅ Why "Push Bombing" is the new favorite tool for attackers.
✅ The shift to Phishing-Resistant MFA and Number Matching.
