After a much needed summer break, we’re back in class for the fall semester. At long last we’ve finally leveled up to seniors. Unfortunately, we’ll still be working entirely online this semester. We miss the IS-226 lab very much, but life goes on. We hope that everyone stays safe during this semester. Congrats to our new fellow juniors for their admission into the program. Best of luck in your classes. We also recently hit 200 followers on this account so a big thanks to everyone for the support! We’re looking forward to sharing more of our journey this semester.

Well, that’s a wrap on our junior year… Congrats to everyone for their hard work this semester! It’s pretty obvious that at the beginning of the spring semester we definitely weren’t expecting to finish the year from within our own homes (due to a pandemic). As a class, we managed to take on the challenges of online learning and adapted to continue making passionate work in the most unusual circumstances. Big thanks to our classmates, class officers, & professors for their flexibility, feedback, & guidance during this historic semester.

Christopher is a Bay Area Motion Designer with over a decade of experience in the animation industry working with production studios, agencies, and in-house teams. For the past several years he has organized and participated in events to bring the local motion community together.

Christopher’s client projects have included several well-known companies, including Apple, Google, Facebook, Brisk, North Face, and Xbox. From pitches to social media campaigns; the content has spanned the gamut with a particular fondness for events recently such as Apple's WWDC, DocuSign's Mo-Mentum and Facebook's F8 Developers Conference.

ATTENTION DSGD 104 STUDENTS
With classes being online, we understand it’s difficult not being able to get in person critiques or demos. So in response, the 2021 BFA Class, will host an After Effects demo/tutorial night on April 21st from 6-9PM. We will try to answer any questions you have about After Effects and try to provide tips and tricks to help you complete the motion graphic project. This is not a Show & Tell. We will not be critiquing, only helping you guys better understand the Adobe Program. Show & Tell 3 for critiques will be announced tomorrow. Hope to see you there!

NEO design & the BFA graphic design class of 2021 are hosting a free mobile app ui/ux design workshop 02/20 from 6-8PM in Clark 111! Learn about the basics of app design and prototyping using Adobe XD. We will be going over the basics of XD, how to design screens suitable for mobile use, creating animations for prototyping, and more! Come join us for an informative workshop that will help you get started with app design.

Adobe XD is free for students on the SJSU website. Please download the creative cloud prior to the event. No prior experience is required.

This event is limited to the first 30 students to sign up so make sure to reserve your spot now!
