Meta plans to add screens to its popular Ray-Ban smart glasses, according to a report by the Financial Times.

These screens will likely display notifications and responses from a virtual assistant. The new version of the glasses is expected to launch in the second half of 2025. The screens will be small and are not intended for mixed reality functionality. For such purposes, Meta is developing separate AR glasses under the codename "Orion," which could be released in the coming years.

The current Ray-Ban glasses are already equipped with speakers, cameras, microphones, and support for Meta’s virtual assistant.
